How much are Private lessons?

I am glad you asked! Musicology realizes that music lesson are an investment. The honor of sharing music with students is something we take very seriously.

·  Musicology is on a 12-month calendar. There will be breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break, end of May and a few weeks off in summer.  Please view the studio calendar here. All Monday holidays will be taught. There are 34 lessons during the school year and 7 lessons in the summer.

·  From August to May- students have weekly standing lessons. For June and July, the tuition remains the same, but the schedule is flexible. There are 41 lesson over 12 months. The tuition is $145 a month for 30 minute lessons and $215 for 45 minute lessons per student. Tuition is auto-billed on the 15th of the month for the current month or can be paid prior to that date.

Tuition provides:

1. Time spent with the student: lessons.

2. Time spent in preparation for the student: trips to the music store, lesson planning, bookkeeping, development of curriculum, incentive programs, etc…

3. Teacher training; 25 years’ experience and three degrees in music: seminars and classes that keep me current on methods and techniques.

4. Professional organization memberships: memberships to local teacher organizations to enhance teaching skills.

5. Professional journals: publications to assist me in keeping current on new teaching materials and trends.

6. Piano tuning, care and maintenance

1. Entry fee to adjudicated studio festivals.

·  Tuition discounts

1. Pre-pay semesters ($25)

2. Pre-pay year of lessons ($100)

3. Social media recommendation ($20 credit a month)

4. Referral of new student ($50)

·  Registration fee for new students is $80 to cover cost of enrollment, music bag, theory book, all basic materials, and to hold spot.
